"Second light" image from my new observatory, with guiding and dew heating.
- Lodestar SX (borrowed from Bas - thank you!)
- WO-Guide scope 200mm F/4
- INDI 1.2 on Linux/Debian
- Dew heaters on guide scope and telescope, powered by lab supply
- Canon 6D, capturing controlled via gphoto2, on Linux/Debian
Polar alignment is still way off, and this mount has a wicked 90s periodic error period with large amplitudes, and as a result, PHD2 had a tough time keeping up with the corrections (the graph would swing wildly between +- 3 arcseconds - though the end result is not so bad. Judging from the shift in image in the course of almost 2 hours, there is either still flex (guide scope attachment?) or the camera attachment is loose. Probably the last one.
Conditions were horrible. A lot of fog and moonlight, at the end of the session everything was soaking wet.
